Principal, Dr. Nancy Farrell

Dr. Farrell has been the proud principal of First Colonial High School since 2011. Prior to being appointed to FC, Dr. Farrell was the principal at Tallwood High School and the Assistant Principal of Kellam High School. Dr. Farrell graduated from First Colonial and completed her undergraduate work in Kinesiology at the College of William and Mary. She earned a Master of Education at Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia, and a Doctor of Education degree from The George Washington University.

Assistant Principal, Mr. Gary Clark

Mr. Clark began his career in 1994 at Nansemond River High School in Suffolk, V.A. where he served as a Special Education Teacher and also coached JV and Varsity Football. After the birth of his son and wanting to be closer to home, he moved to Indian River High School in Chesapeake, V.A. At Indian River High School he taught Special Education students and was also the Special Education Department Head for 3 years.

In 2011 Mr. Clark joined Virginia Beach City Public Schools where he served as an Assistant Principal at Ocean Lakes High school. Since joining the VBCPS team he has also worked as an Assistant Principal at Green Run High School and now at First Colonial High School.

Mr. Clark is a graduate of North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University in Greensboro, N.C. and holds a B.S. Degree in Business Management. He also holds a Master of Science Degree in Education from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, V.A. and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies from Cambridge College in Cambridge, M.A.

Assistant Principal, Dr. David Judge

Dr. David B. Judge began his career in education in 1991 as a Biology teacher for the Pines Residential Treatment Center in Portsmouth, VA. After 7 years of teaching and 2 years as an administrator, he joined Chesapeake Public Schools as an Assistant Principal. From Chesapeake he moved to Southern California where he worked as an Assistant Principal for 2 years. In 2010 Dr. Judge came back to Virginia and was hired by Virginia Beach as an Assistant Principal. Dr. Judge became a proud member of the First Colonial High School administrative team in 2011. Dr. Judge holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Secondary Education/Biology from SUNY Buffalo, a Master of Arts in Education and Human Development from The George Washington University, and a Doctorate in Education Administration and Policy Studies, also from The George Washington University. Legal Studies Academy Director, Mrs. Angelique Phillips

Mrs. Phillips began her career in 2005 when she joined Virginia Beach City Public Schools as an English teacher in the Legal Studies Academy at First Colonial High School. From 2005-2103, she taught classes in the academy and served as the Internship and Senior Project Coordinator. Mrs. Phillips officially joined the First Colonial High School administrative team in 2013 when she was appointed Legal Studies Coordinator. Mrs. Phillips holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Old Dominion University and a Master of Science in Educational Leadership and Administration from the George Washington University.

School Counseling Director, Ms. Talesha Wagner

Talesha Wagner has been a part of the Patriot Family for 21 years. She is a product of Virginia Beach City Public Schools, graduating from Salem High School. She became the school counseling chair at First Colonial High School in July of 2009. She began her career as a school counselor at First Colonial High in August 2000. Ms. Wagner holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from North Carolina State University and a Master of Science in Education from Old Dominion University.

School Improvement Specialist, Mrs. Jennifer Wills

Mrs. Jennifer Wills began her career in education in 1999 as a Secondary School Counselor for Chesapeake Public Schools. After 21 years of service in Chesapeake she was honored to join Virginia Beach City Public Schools and the Patriot Family. She then became a proud member of the First Colonial High School administrative team in July 2021 as the School Improvement Specialist. Mrs. Wills holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Virginia Tech and a Master of Science Degree in Education and Counseling from Old Dominion University.
